About Atherton Health Hub
Atherton Health Hub is a progressive general practice committed to delivering integrated, multidisciplinary care for the Tablelands community. Our model brings together GPs, pharmacists, allied health professionals, and visiting specialists under one roof — improving access, communication, and outcomes for our patients.
We’re proud to have introduced the first in-clinic pharmacist in Far North Queensland, and our services now include Diabetes Education, Audiometry, Podiatry, and Psychology. We also support visiting specialists and work closely with external allied health providers across the region.
Every day here blends meaningful patient care, team collaboration, and professional growth. Multidisciplinary case conferencing is at the heart of our model — breaking down silos, sharing expertise, and delivering smarter care plans for complex cases.
Meet the Founders
Founded in 2023 by husband-and-wife team Dan and Lauren Caines, the Hub was created to bridge the gap between General Practice, Allied Health, and Specialist care. What began with just the two of them has grown into a vibrant, innovative team. Dan and Lauren Caines built the Hub with a simple belief: great healthcare starts with great teamwork.
After years in healthcare, they saw the need for a space where professionals could work side-by-side, share knowledge, and provide truly patient-centred care. That vision became Atherton Health Hub — and it’s grown quickly, attracting talented practitioners who want to make a real impact while enjoying the Tablelands lifestyle.
Outside of work, Dan and Lauren can be found on their small property with their three children: raising chickens, growing veges and enjoying the beautiful natural surrounds.
